WHAT IS A PODCAST?
A podcast is an audio recording
WHAT DO YOU USE IT FOR?
In this context, we use it in three ways:
1. To listen
Students will be able to listen to recordings of interviews of authors who read their work so that the student may follow thus learning proper pronunciations of the language.
2. To practice
By recording their own work our students will have an opportunity to practice proper diction and pronunciation of the Spanish language.
3. To publish
Students will be able to record their work and submit it for publication in House of Writers’ quarterly electronic magazine. For students who wish to publish their audio work, a podcast is a vehicle for reaching a wider audience.
Students may use their own microphone to record their work via Skype (which they must download to their own system). Local students may also make appointments with our staff for a recording session at our Seattle office. Students will also have an opportunity to post their recording in this space.
Students can download Skype here:

HOW DOES IT WORK?
Students may download the site into their computer or MP3 player, or listen directly off the website by clicking the proper link.
